The Geneva Centre for Minority Rights & Peace (G.C.M.R.P.)
was founded in 2023 in Geneva, Switzerland, the year the world marked the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The Centre works to protect the rights of minorities and to build lasting peace through dialogue, mutual respect and shared citizenship.
- Research and analysis. We produce reports, policy briefs and articles on the protection of minorities, religious diversity and peaceful coexistence.
- Dialogue and coexistence. We encourage conversation between communities and cooperation at the regional level to prevent tension before it becomes conflict.
- Awareness and education. We promote non-violence, active citizenship and restorative approaches to justice, so that people know their rights and their responsibilities.
Our Mission & Vision
Mission
Our mission is to safeguard minority rights and promote sustainable peace by bridging international mechanisms with local realities. Through rigorous research, policy advocacy, capacity building, and dialogue, G.C.M.R.P. empowers marginalized communities and supports global institutions in building inclusive, conflict-resilient frameworks.
Vission
To foster a world where national, ethnic, linguistic, and religious minorities are recognized as fundamental pillars of diverse, resilient, and peaceful societies—where human rights are universally protected, and social cohesion is built on justice and mutual respect.
